Power Network

A Network of Networks – Powered by Members
Power Network is a “cooperative network” – not a corporation, a foundation or even a marketplace. It’s a decentralized supernetwork facilitated by independent participants – its members. Power Network is cooperatively operated using a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) and has been designed specifically for Web3 content and decentralized applications (dApps).

Optimized for Web3:

Decentralized

Distributed through thousands of nodes and governed by a DAO.

Encrypted

Designed to support multi-layer encryption, including connections, content, and processes.

Tokenized

А range of tokenized assets and smart contracts, as well as token-based service models.

Modularized

Automatic modulation of member benefits based on performance and commitment.

Incentivized

Systematic distribution of digital rewards using smart contracts and automated pools.

Virtualized

Leveraging service-oriented architecture and the power of containers and virtual servers.

Power Network uses a coordinated set of incentives to deliver a range of decentralized network services, including storage, processing, and hosting. The benefits created by this supernetwork cooperative are distributed among its members in proportion to their respective contributions (i.e., node performance) and level of commitment (e.g., membership tokens, governance tokens).

The Internet Has Problems

  • Outdated & Cumbersome Protocols
  • No Privacy & Disappearing Digital Rights
  • No Anonymity & Captured Data
  • Weak Security & Minimal Encryption
  • Centralized Infrastructure & Monopolization

The Solution: Web3 Technology

  • Powerful Protocols
  • Privacy & Protected Digital Rights
  • Self-Sovereign Data & Zero-Knowledge Sharing
  • Strong Security & Multi-Layer Encryption
  • Autonomous Infrastructure & Decentralization

A Better Way

Power Network offers an alternative to reliance on centralized Internet infrastructure. By members collectively asserting their digital rights on a foundation of Web3 technology, freedom and independence can be established. Working together in this way, dramatically better networks are possible, featuring more powerful network services, lower-cost access, greater security, restored privacy, censorship resistance, self-ownership of data, and equitable distribution of the value created.

Web3 SuperEcosystem

The establishment of multiple networks will ultimately lead to synergies and the emergence of a “super ecosystem” to optimize growth – and expand the overall benefits to the members.

Microsites

Power Network also incentivizes the build out of a global network of independent commercial microsites. Microsites can be integrated into existing data centers or built as dedicated facilities. They are designed for high-density processors, featuring state-of-the-art network equipment.

Hosted or Local

Nodes can be hosted by a network services provider (such as a microsite) or operated locally using your own hardware.

Range of Network Services

Multiple types of network services will be offered within the Power Network – through the establishment of new networks as well as from strategic partnerships. Types of services include:
Storage
Routing
Hosting/Bandwidth
APIs/RPCs
Processing
Streaming
Validation
Validity Proofs

PowerOS

The PowerOS operating system provides intelligent coordination of Power Network’s global incentive system across all participating Web3 infrastructure.

Power DAO

Web3 Standards

The PowerDAO will be active in the formulation, evaluation, and coordination of Web3 industry standards. Having effective standards will significantly accelerate and widen adoption of Web3 technology. Structural elements within the PowerDAO can help facilitate the Web3 standards process.

DAO Governance

Power Network is governed by the PowerDAO. The PowerDAO is a decentralized autonomous organization comprised of nodes that have committed GovernancePower (GOV) tokens to one or more of the PowerDAO’s governance pools. Governance activities occur within an Assembly of active nodes, as well as within six Councils. Council membership is based on reaching certain thresholds of commitment. Each Council operates as a sub-DAO and is responsible for a designated set of network matters.

Web3 Utilities

The PowerDAO intends to develop a range of Web3 utilities to empower its members. These will be accessed in a vault system built on programmable smart contract accounts. The objective is to deliver powerful benefits that are easy to use.
More About PowerDAO

Tokens

token Power (PWR)
Membership in Power’s Web3 cooperative requires Power (PWR) a membership token. PWR tokens also serve as network credit, exchangeable for Web3 services offered within the Power Network. In addition, PWR can function as a staking asset and is eligible for conversion to other formats of ecosystem value.
tokenGreenPower (GRN)
GreenPower (GRN) is a utility token, modulating access levels and rates for the ecosystem’s Web3 marketplace services. When staked, GRN tokens also determine decision-making and influence within the ecosystem’s marketplace.
token GovernancePower (GOV)
GovernancePower (GOV) is the ecosystem’s governance token. GOV tokens can be committed to one of six governance pools within the PowerDAO’s smart contract (PowerDAO Compact). VOLT tokens are received in return, with each pool providing a different degree of benefit based on the pool’s duration and the staking account’s governance activities.
tokenVolts (VOLT)
Certain benefits are enhanced based on a node’s level of Volts (VOLT), the ecosystem’s impact token. The more VOLT tokens held by a node, the greater the benefits available to that node – and the greater influence the node can have on ecosystem governance. VOLT tokens can be converted into GOV tokens on a 1:1 basis using a PowerDAO smart contract.
tokenNetworkPower (NWK)
NetworkPower (NWK) is a work token generated by verifiable output of decentralized network services. NWK tokens are used to determine the initial distribution of units for new networks established within the ecosystem. NWK tokens also carry influence over the initial governance of those networks.
tokenAlgorand (ALGO)
Algorand (ALGO) serves as store of value and a medium of exchange within the ecosystem. Power Network node licenses are acquired with ALGO. Node rewards are distributed on the Algorand blockchain.

Node Licenses

Node licenses enable nodes to generate benefits within the Power Network. The following are three of the node licenses available:
Licenses are acquired with ALGO.
  • P2P License - $5
  • 100 PWR tokens
  • 1 P2P token
  • 1 AMP token
  • P2P education module
  • Power Dashboard (Red)
  • VPN License - $20
  • 500 PWR tokens
  • 1 VPN token
  • 5 AMP tokens
  • VPN education module
  • Power Dashboard (Orange)
  • WAN License - $150
  • 5,000 PWR tokens
  • 1 WAN token
  • 40 AMP tokens
  • WAN education module
  • PowerPanel (Yellow)
PWR tokens are USD $0.10 each in ALGO if acquired directly from a PowerDAO smart contract. Cost per PWR token can be reduced when PWR is acquired as part of a node license.
